BMK Building research highlights & direction of national building research from 2024.

The event is a partner event of the Impact Days of the RENOWAVE Congress and presents current results of applied building research with a focus on sustainable solutions for climate-neutral buildings and neighborhoods.

The mission “Climate Neutral City” of the Federal Ministry for Climate Protection, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology (BMK) aims to enable and accelerate the implementation of climate neutral pioneer cities and neighborhoods. In particular, the development and demonstration of the necessary innovations and solution modules for neighborhoods, buildings and the local energy system are addressed.

The event “Highlights of Building Research” will provide a platform for the latest results of applied building research to present sustainable solutions for climate-neutral buildings and neighborhoods and to discuss them with practitioners with a view to dissemination.

The first event on March 9, 2023 in Vienna also marked the start of the future direction of national construction & building research in the RTI priority “Climate Neutral City”. This was followed by in-depth discussions with experts from the field of building research and an online consultation (carried out in July). Results from the strategy process will be presented at the second event in Graz as well as discussed and adjusted once again.

The event will take place as a partner event within the Impact Days of the RENOWAVE Congress (October 17 & 18, 2023, Seifenfabrik Graz).
