20.04. 20.04. Presentation of the INFINITE project - prefabrication in refurbishment.
The INFINITE project aims to support the sustainable refurbishment of existing buildings through modular solutions. For this purpose, insulated wood structures are used to develop all-in-one modules, which are tested on demonstration buildings. The technologies include modular green facades and green roofs, an integrated ventilation unit, smart windows, and building-integrated photovoltaics and solar heating. The project is funded under the European Commission’s “Horizon 2020” program and has partners from various European countries.
In addition, the Twin²Sim project will be presented. This includes a versatile test stand, testing rooms and a test building in Kuchl, which are used to investigate complex building envelopes and building technology.
