Currently, comprehensive rehabilitation is “in competition” with new construction (“reconstructing”) and is often also judged according to new construction criteria. However: in the future we will have to refurbish more of our housing stock in order to achieve our climate targets. What does this mean for the technical evaluation of old buildings and the legal assessment based on it? Are we too strict? Does everything always have to be assessed “according to the latest state of the art”?

Three technical inputs and a panel discussion will discuss current guidelines, standards, and practices that already differ. An “open microphone” in the audience area provides an “open stage” for participants* of this event – we love to hear what YOU have to say!
