19.06. WOHNBAU.DIALOG STEIERMARK
The 8th WOHNBAU.DIALOG STEIERMARK will take place on 19.06.2023 from 15:00 – 17:00 in the House of Architecture Graz on the topic of “Trend-setting housing forms and construction methods”. The interactive stakeholder workshop will discuss innovative concepts and technologies that enable a sustainable and future-oriented design of housing. Based on keynote speeches by invited experts on the topics of building & technology concepts, resource-efficient living and serial refurbishment, the contents will be discussed and deepened in moderated topic tables with their challenges and approaches to solutions.

The project is exploring new ways of creating future-proof COAs that are able to address the problems in communities.
04.07. SERIAL REOVATION IN WOOD | Modular and serial renovation in Austria
An OPEN LAB event on the topic of “Serial Renovation in Austria”. The renovation wave is now underway. We now need uncomplicated solutions that can be implemented quickly and we see great potential here in the wood industry and in the processing companies.

The aim of the project is to explore transferrable refurbishment concepts as substantial preparatory work for the implementation of climate-fit refurbishments in Vienna.

ELEMENTS
The ELEMENTS project examines the stock of buildings in Graz from 1960 to 1979 that are in need of renovation and must be adapted to meet climate goals.
9.04. and 12.04. Workshop “Analyzing building stock and performance with satellite data and AI – estimating the energy efficiency of buildings with artificial intelligence”
As part of the “BEE.AI – Building Energy-efficiency Estimation with Artificial Intelligence” project, the European Space Agency is working with RENOWAVE.AT to draw up a list of requirements to check whether the current data is sufficient to carry out an inventory analysis. In two workshops with Vienna, Italy and Denmark, the usability and requirements for users in Europe will be analyzed.

This information and networking event offers insights into the objectives and potential of the call „Digitaler Zwilling Österreich“ the connection to the EU-initiative Earth initiative and the Green Transition Information Factory.
19. 09. – 26. 10. exhibition “Sorge um den Bestand – Zehn Strategien für die Architektur“
The exhibition presents ten strategies of architects and urbanists for the future handling of the building stock. They plead for a rethinking and careful repair of built habitats and living cultures. They show how new perspectives can be created in urban and rural contexts through networked approaches, public welfare-oriented cooperation and participation concepts. For the future stock, i.e. the buildings constructed today, strategies for a circular use of materials and an openness to future requirements will be developed.
MasSan
Feasibility study to present and analyze the framework conditions and potential of serial renovations of large-volume buildings. The findings from the national pilot projects as well as the international / German projects and models are extracted and checked for their feasibility in the Austrian context and the requirements are prepared.
