The majority of existing residential buildings in Hesse have not been or have only been partially renovated in terms of energy efficiency. But precisely existing buildings have great potential for reducing energy consumption and CO2 emissions.

KnowHowHP

The aim of the three-year KnowHowHP project is to train installers and specialists with an integral planning process in order to increase the use of heat pumps in existing multi-storey buildings.

RENOINVEST

The aim of the EU-LIFE project “RENOINVEST – Roundtables enhancing smart investments in sustainable renovation of buildings” is to bring together all relevant stakeholders from the financial sector, the real estate and construction industry and politics in working groups and, above all, national roundtables to discuss urgently needed financing solutions for the climate-neutral renovation of our building stock and to jointly find feasible solutions by 2030.

19.06. “CO2-SENKE NACHVERDICHTUNG” | Modular and serial refurbishment in Austria – How can Zero Carbon be realized in a project like “Zukunfsanker”?

An OPEN LAB event on the topic of “Carbon sink in a concrete application”. The goal is to develop a CO2-neutral and urban neighborhood through a combination of preservation of the historic building stock and redensification. Experts and interested laypersons will discuss the topic. The innovation laboratory RENOWAVE.AT for climate-neutral renovations would like to generate “knowledge for and with everyone” with this event – based on the concrete occasion “Future Anchor” it is necessary to consider: How can climate neutrality as a new self-image flow into the further development of the stock?

Serial renovation solutions combine many innovative building blocks into a scalable overall product that can be used to renovate multifamily buildings, single-family homes and public buildings to net zero. The latest approaches will be presented at the Innovation Day on June 20, 2023 in Berlin.

Based on a thorough analysis that includes a detailed assessment to identify implementation-relevant obstacles and the development of corresponding solution strategies, a three-stage workshop concept will be developed within the project. This concept will be tested with up to three different owners of large real estate portfolios.
